EdCorps

Skilled Trades + Entrepreneurship
The Harbor Freight EdCorps Initiative puts the power of entrepreneurship in the hands of students exploring the skilled trades. In classrooms around the country, students are learning to run a real business while developing skills that bring new relevance to traditional coursework – empowering young people to develop soft skills and technical knowledge, relationships and products.

Skilled Trades + Student Entrepreneurship

Entrepreneurship in Action
Launched in 2017, the Harbor Freight EdCorps Initiative has brought the EdCorps experience (and support resources like e-commerce technology, toolkits, and personalized support) to dozens of skilled trades classrooms in public high schools around the country. With an emphasis on engineering, welding, construction, and advanced manufacturing, the cohort of student-run businesses empowers young people to develop hands-on skills and the entrepreneurial mindset at the same time.
